What should we wear to our session?
The best rule is to wear what makes you feel like you. Neutral tones and textures (like linen, wool, or cotton) photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your faces. I usually suggest avoiding heavy logos or very bright neon colours, as these can be distracting in a natural setting.
How and when will we receive our photos?
Your images will be delivered via a secure, private online gallery. For standard sessions, you can expect your gallery within 2–3 weeks.
Do you travel for shoots?
I am based in Sydney, but I am more than happy to travel to a location that is special to you. Locations within the Sydney metro area are included in my package prices; for sessions further afield, a small travel fee may apply to cover the journey.
We aren't "good" in front of the camera. Will you help us?
Almost everyone feels this way! Because I don't use heavy posing, the pressure to "perform" is gone. I might give you a small prompt—like "go sit by the window and read to your toddler"—but then I step back and let the natural interaction happen. You’ll be surprised at how quickly you forget I’m there.
Will you share our photos on social media?
I love sharing the stories I capture, but your privacy is my priority. I always ask for your explicit permission before posting any images of your family or home online. If you’d prefer to keep your gallery private, I completely respect that.
Are you insured and do you have a Working With Children Check?
Yes, absolutely. I am fully insured for public liability. As someone with a background in emergency services and teaching, I also hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC), so you can feel completely at ease with me in your home.
